Online Now!, a special section on HPLD's website, offers links to reliable information; all of which is organized into easy-to-use, subject specific reference guides. This is your one stop browsing center for everything from our audio ebook collection to getting the most up-to-date information on the H1N1 Flu.
Some of our most popular guides include:
- Databases & eResource Guide - lists all of HPLD's subscription research
databases in alphabetical order as well as by subject matter such as "Consumer
Information" and "Genealogy". The Databases & eResource Guide also includes
a list of useful websites, organized by topic, that have been reviewed by HPLD
librarians.
- Recommended! HPLD's Staff Picks - browse through a robust list of recommended
books, films, music and much more from the friendly staff at HPLD.
- ESL, GED, and Citizenship Resources - a resources guide for adult learners and
their instructors.
The guides are organized to facilitate ease of use for all of our customers
including first time users. All of our guides include links to either books in
our collection, to one or more of our subscription databases, or to a high
quality, librarian reviewed website. Each of the guides within HPLD's Online Now! subject guide collection was created by and is actively managed by one or more librarians.
Holiday Closings
Carbon Valley Regional Library, Centennial Park Library, Erie Community Library,
Farr Regional Library, and Lincoln Park Library will be closing on Thursday,
December 31 at 5 pm and reopening on Saturday, January 2, 2010.
